Sous Chef

Salary: £8 to £10 per hour

Tyneside Cinema is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team in the Tyneside Coffee Rooms.

The Tyneside Coffee Rooms is a beautiful and stylish art deco tea rooms located within Tyneside Cinema, which opened in 1938 and has since become a local institution and a stop off for visitors from around the world. Famous for its hearty comfort food and cosy atmosphere, the Coffee Rooms’ many thousands of satisfied customers over the years and decades have included Sir Ian McKellen, Charlton Heston, Sir John Hurt, Rowan Atkinson, Bryan Adams and many more.

The history and ethos of the Tyneside Coffee Rooms is of vital importance to the Cinema and we are now in need of a new Sous Chef to continue providing the customers with its hearty comfort food. We are looking for an individual with a passion for cooking, experience working in a kitchen and the ability to work well as part of a team.
