The BFI is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join their Digital Products team.
About the role
Located in our newly formed Technology & Digital Transformation department, the Software Developer will play a crucial role in building new features and functionality across our digital services and providing maintenance and support to our existing systems.
Key responsibilities
- To write high quality code for the BFI websites and digital services, all the way through from early prototypes to production releases and beyond.
- To be fully involved in the process of refining requirements and planning the work needed to deliver those requirements.
- To participate in project scoping work and decision-making relating to overall technical architecture and approach.
Skills & experience
- Significant demonstrable experience in development and delivery of web applications.
- In depth knowledge of web development languages and frameworks, including our technology stack – PHP (Drupal) and/or Javascript (React) – and an ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent knowledge of both front and backend development.
