London Experimental is looking for those with a background in construction/set building/set design/rigging experience to help build their 2025 event in South London.
In June we will be exhibiting 40 films across three screening rooms to the general public in large venue in South London. We are looking to hire some extra hands to help with the technical installation the morning of the event.
Role details
- Hours: 5 hours, between 7 AM – 12 PM
- Date: Sunday 15th June 2025.
- Location: Herne Hill, South London (about a 5-minute walk from the station).
Role responsibilities
- Providing on-the-day technical and practical support with the event build
- Safely installing technical equipment for the public screening
- Building screens
- Installing projectors
- Hanging curtains
- Moving furniture
- Implementing working practices in line with the event team risk assessments
- Assisting the director and producer with any technical tasks that may arise
- Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for the events team, volunteers and audiences
Person specifications
- Volunteers who feel comfortable with engaging with technical practices, equipment and operating installation tools
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Experience with construction, set building, rigging, engineering, set design or installation
