Rich Mix is looking for a Schools and Film Education Coordinator to work as part of their Creative Engagement team.

About the role

The Schools and Film Education Coordinator to work as part of Rich Mix’ Creative Engagement team, leading the programme connecting our schools work with our vision to deliver Culture for a Changing City.

The Schools and Film Education Coordinator will liaise with Artistic Advisors, Associate Artists and the wider Live, Cinema and Creative Engagement teams to develop and drive the creative vision of the Schools programme – to develop skills, knowledge, confidence and well-being for those least likely to access the arts.

The post holder is responsible for the development and delivery of our Film Education programme. This includes overall project coordination, workshop facilitation and recruitment of schools. They will develop relationships with schools across East London, and primarily in Tower Hamlets, including teachers, pupils, parents, and carers. The postholder is also responsible for budget monitoring, and the coordination and delivery of all elements of the Evaluation Framework for Schools and will assist with reporting to funders.

Person specification
  • Proven experience of devising and facilitating creative workshops for teachers, young people, and children.
  • Experience of digital filmmaking, editing and post-production, ideally including animation.
  • Experience of delivering work that is inclusive and accessible to young people and children in school settings, both in person and online.
  • Ability to connect, inspire, and engage people who are likely to be engaging in the arts for the first time.
  • Good film knowledge and a passion for film.
  • A genuine passion for the arts and a keen interest in the work, mission, vision, and values of Rich Mix.
  • Experience of managing project budgets and excellent financial administration skills.
  • Knowledge of fundraising applications, principles and methods.
  • Good working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practice.
  • Current enhanced DBS check, or willingness to have one completed.
