The National Film and Television School (NFTS) are currently recruiting for a Sales Ledger Administrator to join their busy Finance team.

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Ledger Administrator to join our busy Finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Credit Controller to raise invoices, process bursaries, chase payments and help maintain the accurate and efficient running of the sales ledger function.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Main duties include:
- Invoice Companies providing Scholarships, Sponsorships and Core Funding, including the chasing of payments and ensuring up to date contracts are scanned onto the relevant accounts
- Ensuring the correct VAT is added onto invoices where relevant
- Overall responsibility of the Scotland, Leeds and Wales ledgers, opening new accounts, raising all sales invoices, chasing payments to ensure balances are paid prior to commencing the course
- Processing Bursaries and Scholarships onto the relevant accounts relating to the hubs and refunding of any overpayments relating to funding being applied
- Raise the relevant Monthly sales invoices for Bar and Railcards
- Overall responsibility for Short Courses Ledger, including the downloading of payment information from Trust Payments website and raising the monthly short course invoice
- On instruction from the Events team raise table sale and auction invoices relating to the Annual Gala. Set up new accounts and assisting the Events team with chasing of outstanding debt.
- Raise Month End invoice for Application and Workshop fees
- Ensure all other miscellaneous invoices are raised, including distribution income, Royalties etc
- Send relevant statements on a Monthly basis and chase payments for all debtors listed above
- Liaise with Credit Controller to escalate to Legal Recoveries and Collection any bad debts
- Investigate and explain any negative balances on the monthly debtors report
- Cover for Credit Controller during periods of high volume or absence
- All other reasonable requests from the Finance Manager
Person Specification:
Essential
- Some experience of working within a Finance Department
- Organised, motivated and flexible
- Able to work in a team and independently
- Able to multi task and manage a busy workload within a fast pace and busy department.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office and confident in the use of databases including Excel
- A GCSE grade of 4/C and above in English and Maths
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- A passion for the film, TV and games industries, and a desire to assist students in their studies.
Desirable
- Experience working with ACCESS finance system
