QA Analyst

Salary: £46,362 - £54,762 per annum

The BFI has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst who will play an important part in the new BFI ten-year strategy – Screen Culture 2033 – which sets out how we will advance our knowledge, collections, programmes, National Lottery funding and leadership to build a diverse UK screen culture that benefits all of society.

The digital ambition is that by 2033, we will have radically reformed all BFI services by making them easy to use and widely available online, reaching more people and delivering more of our cultural programme digitally.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and building QA competency within product teams, facilitating shift to automated testing as part of agile development workflow.
• Managing QA resources, including contracted QA Testers, as required for product development.
• Working with product and project managers and commercial stakeholders to define business requirements and QA plans.
• Developing test cases, test plans and scenarios, actively working to continually improve test design and coverage.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Extensive demonstrable experience of QA and testing on large scale software projects.
• Solid understanding and experience of different testing techniques including functional testing, domain testing and risk testing.
• Ability to take a business and an operational view to finding solutions to complex problems.
• A passion for finding bugs through exploratory testing with the ability to self-manage workload.
