The BFI is the lead organisation for film in the UK with a mission to ensure that film is central to our cultural life. The programme department does this by building audiences for a rich programme of British and international film and television at our festivals and Southbank venue, online and on DVD, through the dissemination of knowledge through our library and book publishing/ Sight & Sound magazine, through our exhibition and distribution partnerships across theUK, and through caring for one of the world’s foremost collections of film, television and the moving image, held by the BFI National Archive.

The Programme Department Coordinator will support the Creative Director in planning and communicating the activity of the BFI programme, within the wider BFI and external operating environment, providing full and confidential administrative and personal assistance as required.

The ideal candidate will have previous PA or Department Coordinator experience from a busy and fast paced environment. You will be confident drafting presentations and correspondence and your excellent communications skills will enable you to deal effectively with a large variety of internal and external contacts.
