Walter Presents is looking for an enthusiastic PR and social media manager who can successfully oversee press and social media campaigns, work within a team and bring creative ideas to promote international drama.

Walter Presents is a global streaming service partnered with Channel 4 that specialises in hand-picking the very best, award-winning world drama. From Deutschland 83 to Locked Up, Walter Presents has brought subtitled content to the forefront of the UK’s streaming landscape. The creators behind Walter Presents also founded production company Eagle Eye Drama which specialises in creating bespoke British series with the finest acting talent.

Responsibilities

Press

  • Copywriting and distributing eye-catching press releases for every Walter Presents series
  • Managing trade/general media enquiries and building strong relationships with key contacts
  • Monitoring press coverage for Walter Presents and Eagle Eye series and collating press packs
  • Generating innovative ideas for online and offline press features
  • Handling talent for press interviews or junkets
  • Organising screenings or press events for major series and sourcing opportunities with embassies, festivals, and institutes

Social Media

  • Simultaneously managing multiple social media accounts, both organic and paid advertising across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Managing yearly marketing budgets and creating social advertising reports
  • Creating social media content such as GIFS, clips, press quote cards and working with the in-house editor to create and storyboard trailers
  • Finding and building partnerships with relevant brands to further Walter Presents social media presence and brand awareness
  • Keeping track of social media follower numbers and setting yearly targets for increases

Other Responsibilities

  • Managing the distribution of the Walter Presents monthly schedule
  • Distributing and keeping track of series materials within the team folders
Requirements
  • Enthusiasm for the content is key
  • Previous experience running a digital marketing campaign would be preferable but not a pre-requisite, familiarity with the social media landscape is a definite requirement
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Personable, ability to work alongside distributors and agencies
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop preferable

Hours: Full time, remote and in-person office based in London, Soho Square
