Philanthropy Manager, Schematic Giving

The BFI is seeking a Philanthropy Manager to play a vital role in the Fundraising & Enterprise department, taking responsibility for all schematic giving at the BFI, including oversight of BFI Patrons and Film Forever Club.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall management of all structured giving schemes at the BFI, to achieve the highest standard of recruitment of, and experience for, individual giving donors at the BFI
  • Contribute to meeting income targets and objectives for BFI giving schemes, as part of the overall Philanthropy team target
  • Lead responsibility for a superior Patron experience, driving distinction, creativity, and impact messaging amongst the BFI’s schematic giving schemes
  • Lead the strategy and delivery of the BFI’s Film Forever Club as key relationship manager for all donors at that level
  • Effective line management of the Philanthropy Officer, Patrons
Skills & Experience
  • At least three years’ experience working in individual giving
  • Demonstrable experience of raising and stewarding four and five figure donations through individual giving
  • Exceptional organisational skills, efficient in prioritising, problem-solving, hitting deadlines and balancing multiple requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail and written and oral communication skills, to include strong presentation and negotiation skills, with people at all levels
  • Interest in film and moving image culture
