Coproduction Office is seeking an Office Manager to join its Berlin location.

Coproduction Office is looking for a globally minded and result-oriented colleague, with organisational skills and an avid interest in culture, to complete its team of 30 people working in a dynamic and international environment. You will assist the team and founder Philippe Bober in the company’s Berlin office.

About the company

Based in Paris and Berlin, Coproduction Office stands at the forefront of auteur cinema as an international distributor and producer of bold, award-winning films. The company’s founder, Philippe Bober, has collaborated with prominent and pioneering directors from the earliest stages of their careers. He has produced 44 films to date, the majority of which were selected for the main competitions at the Cannes, Venice, and Berlin film festivals where they received major prizes including the Venice Golden Lion in 2014 for Roy Andersson’s A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on its Existence and the Palme d’Or in 2017 and 2022 for The Square and Triangle of Sadness by Ruben Östlund.

About the role

You will work in an international and multilingual environment with a friendly and motivational atmosphere, alongside committed and team-oriented colleagues. You will gain insight on the independent film industry while working on unique films.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support our teams (from onboarding of newcomers to ensuring a pleasant working atmosphere)
  • Assist our CEO Philippe Bober as required
  • Maintain and improve IT infrastructure in collaboration with our advisors and suppliers
  • Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that the office and adjacent office facilities are operating smoothly
  • Manage the office budget and supplies and take care of everyday groceries
  • Manage keys inventory
  • Allocate incoming phone calls, mails and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail
  • Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new systems
  • Take care of the design of the office and of the company’s spaces and apartments
  • Be the point of contact for suppliers (including property management, service providers, cleaning staff, technicians, hausmeister…) and occasionally guests and collaborators (directors, editors, etc..)
  • Update databases, archives and servers.
About you
  • A native or fully fluent English-speaker with an excellent command of German (other languages are a plus)
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
  • Creative and able to think outside the box
  • Experienced in the cultural industries (a plus)
  • Flexible and proactive.
