Sheffield DocFest
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 depending on experience
International Documentary Festival Sheffield – the charity whose flagship event is Sheffield DocFest – is seeking an exceptional candidate for the newly created role of Managing Director.
The Managing Director will be responsible for business affairs; partnerships and fundraising; production and operations as well as audience development.
As part of a new leadership model, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Creative Director to deliver the annual festival Sheffield DocFest (June) and its year-round programmes and initiatives. The Creative Director will be responsible for setting the programme agenda across Film Programmes, Alternate Realities, Marketplace & Talent and Talks & Sessions and year-round programme and will report to the Managing Director with a direct line to the Board of Trustees on programme.
With the Creative Director, the Managing Director will be expected to jointly lead the organisation, assuming full responsibility for business performance and sustainability; and developing and actioning strategic and business plans that deliver on the International Documentary Festival Sheffield’s charitable objectives.
