The BFI is looking for XR Hosts to join their team for the 2024 BFI London Film Festival (LFF).
We are looking for XR Hosts to support the smooth running of the LFF Expanded Exhibition (11-27 October), including assisting audience viewing sessions for immersive and interactive artworks and relaying any necessary safety and artistic information about the works they are viewing.
BFI London Film Festival (LFF) runs an Industry & Professional Programme of screenings, events, networking and informal marketplace for around 3,500 film industry professionals alongside the main public festival.
Fixed Term Contract: 1 October – 28 October 2024
Key responsibilities include:
- To act as front of house, greeting guests, giving welcome briefings, checking tickets, and providing excellent customer service.
- To onboard and offboard guests into the experience, using the script given for the specific piece. Optimising the audiences comfort and ensuring the equipment is running correctly.
- To assist the technical and production teams, providing support for the XR exhibition where needed, flagging issues for attention in a calm, professional and methodical manner.
- To attend the dedicated training session on site.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A proactive and customer-focused approach, with demonstrable experience in customer-facing or front of house roles.
- Previous experience of working in a gallery, exhibition space, film festival, arts venue or theatre.
- Exemplary communication skills and a professional approach to dealing effectively with people at all levels.
- Ability to act responsibly under pressure with a solution-focused approach.
