The BFI is seeking Visitor Service Assistants and Venue Coordinators ahead of the BFI London Film Festival 2018.
Visitor Services Assistants (£21,747 per annum, pro rata)
28 August – 21 October 2018
Visitor Services Assistants at the BFI provide a first class welcome to all visitors to the BFI Southbank, sell tickets and memberships, check tickets and control entry to public spaces and ensure that safety, security and comfort are at excellent standards at all times.
To be successful you must be available between the above dates and have previous experience in a similar public or commercial venue, with excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to deal with a variety of people.
These roles will be based primarily at BFI Southbank and involve weekend and evening working on a rota basis. Our benefits include free tickets to BFI events plus discounts at the BFI Filmstore and BFI Bar and Kitchen and BFI Riverfront at BFI Southbank.
Venue Coordinators (Ticketing) (GBP 23,433 per annum pro rata)

Venue Coordinators (Ticketing) work in partnership with the Venue Coordinator (Programme) and the management team at some of our external partner venues during the LFF.
Each venue coordinator will be assigned to one venue for the duration of the festival and will be responsible for selling tickets for all LFF venues. This post will manage the festival guest list of delegates, invited guests and sponsor tickets in the partner venue and release uncollected tickets for sale to the public stand-by queue.
To be successful you must be available from 28 August – 21 October 2018 and have similar experience in a box office environment, in either a public or commercial venue, with excellent communication and presentation skills; and the ability to work independently and deal with a variety of people.

Those interested in working as a Venue Coordinator (Ticketing) will first need to work in the BFI Box Office as a Visitor Services Assistant, after three weeks they will be assessed to determine their ability to work in an external venue, and further training given. Only work carried out whilst rostered as a Venue Coordinator (Ticketing) will be paid at the enhanced rate (during the period 08 – 21 October 2018).
