The BFI is seeking a Video File Technician to join the Technical Services team for the 66th BFI London Film Festival.

The Video File Technician will work on the delivery of the BFI London Film Festival and will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary video content for online and in-cinema screenings and events is produced and distributed in a professional, high quality and timely way.

Key Responsibilities
  • As part of the LFF Content team, to ensure that all video required for the London Film Festival is produced to world class standards, and delivered to its screening location on schedule.
  • To receive, convert and QC video content to specific standards for online editions of the LFF.
  • To use video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro to cut and DaVinci Resolve to create clips for LFF events.
Experience & Skills
  • Good working knowledge of video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Good working knowledge of encoding and media management software such as Media Encoder and Compressor.
  • Good working knowledge of all aspects of cinema and video screening media, including all video and audio codecs, video, disc and tape formats, frame rates, subtitling and aspect ratios.
