The BFI is recruiting for a Guest Transport & Logistics Team Leader ahead of the 2024 BFI London Film Festival.

The BFI is looking for a Guest Transport & Logistics Team Leader to work within a busy team responsible for facilitating a first-class ground transport service for Festival filmmakers, VIP guests, staff and Festival deliveries.

The BFI London Film Festival (LFF) runs an Industry & Professional Programme of screenings, events, networking and informal marketplace for around 3,500 film industry professionals alongside the main public festival.

This is a full-time, fixed term contract role running from 16 September – 01 November 2024.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the Filmmaker & Industry Services Manager to implement a creative and efficient ground transport strategy, which effectively balances the needs of the Festival and operational constraints.
  • Ensure the Guest Transport & Logistics Team engages with database systems in an efficient manner, placing an emphasis on accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.
  • Coordinate induction and training for the Guest Transport Coordinators, in-line with BFI HR procedures and Festival policies. Oversee the Guest Transport & Logistics Coordinators’ daily activities across ground transport bookings, internal and external communication and general administration.
  • Ensure the Guest Transport Team engages with database systems in an efficient manner, placing an emphasis on accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.
The BFI is looking for candidates with:
  • Demonstrable experience of working in similar Festival Guest Services, Hospitality environments or in a high-pressure events logistics role.
  • Experience of working on multiple medium or large-scale Festivals.
  • Experience coordinating team workflows and overseeing staff in a busy environment.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to manage databases and systems.
  • Experience of monitoring and tracking delivery costs and partnership contributions.
