Head of Finance

Salary: £42,000 per annum

Watershed is looking to recruit an experienced and able Head of Finance who shares the same values as the charity.

Purpose of job

As Head of Finance you will manage a small finance team and work to ensure accurate and timely monitoring is delivered for the charity and associated ventures. You will also work closely with the Finance Director, implementing and shaping the exciting, new transformation agenda and systems update.

• Hours: Full time
• Contract type: Permanent
• Location: In the building. Hybrid working option available (part working in the building and part remote). This post is not suitable for full remote working.

Main responsibilities

• Qualified or QBE with experience of working in a charity being advantageous
• At least 5-years’ experience of working in financial or management reporting in a similar role and sized organisation with comparable responsibilities and targets.
• Demonstrable knowledge of MS Office, including competence with Sage and other similar accounting software with intermediate Excel skills or higher
• Excellent communication skills at all levels and experience of working closely with budget holders and non-finance stake holders
• Thorough, accurate, pro-active and a keen eye for detail.
• Able to identify solutions and with the support of the FD, able to lead and implement department improvements and efficiencies.
• Responsive to competing needs in a fast-paced organisation, able to prioritise and meet deadlines
