Dublin International Film Festival is looking for people interested in learning about the film industry and the festival process to join their team as Festival Screeners.
The submissions screening process will start in July 2025, with the majority ofviewing and screenings taking place from August to November. Participants will have regular access to the programming team for guidance.

Role responsibilities
- Watching submissions as assigned on FilmFreeway.
- Providing written feedback on the films screened.
- Active participation in fortnightly online and in-person programming meetings (12) between July and December.
- Helping with film synopsis/copy as needed.
- Watching out for and taking note of themes or recurring elements within submissions, particularly those that have been flagged as of interest for DIFF 2026.
- Hosting Q&As and participating in panels during DIFF 2026
Person specifications
- Passion for and understanding of film.
- General knowledge of Irish and International film and/or film industry.
- Wide range of interest in film genre.
- Must be a self-starter, comfortable watching films in their own time and working with hard deadlines.
- Podcast experience not essential but an advantage.
- Trustworthy and honest.
- Comfortable with public speaking (if needed).
- Strong writing and analytical skills are a plus.
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
- Open minded and eager to learn.
- Creative thinker who is excited to think outside the box and pitch ideas
