Together Films are looking for a Film Sales Executive to join their growing sales team!
The Film Sales Executive will be responsible for generating revenue from non-theatrical licenses (Community, Corporate, Educational, and Festivals) and minor territory sales across Together Film’s diverse film slate.
This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in expanding the global reach of films that tackle some of the most urgent issues of our time.
You will be an integral part of our team, driving sales targets, developing relationships with new and existing clients, and ensuring the successful execution of non-theatrical screenings and sales. We’re looking for someone who is not only commercially minded but also passionate about using the power of storytelling to create social impact.

Role responsibilities
Non-Theatrical Sales (65%)
- Community: Proactively engage potential screening hosts (NGOs, advocacy groups, grassroots organizations) and promote films that address important societal issues. Organise profitable, impactful screenings that resonate with the community.
- Educational: Pitch and sell film screening licenses to schools, universities, and educational institutions. Develop long-term partnerships to secure year-round licenses for relevant educational content.
- Corporate: Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate clients for high-value screenings tied to CSR initiatives, employee training, and diversity and inclusion programs. Optimise engagement with timely sales, aligning with key dates such as Pride Month, Earth Day, and Black History Month.
- Festivals: Liaise with Film Festivals in multiple territories to secure the best placement and screening fees from each partner.
Small Territory Sales (25%)
- Lead sales for Together Films in minor territories, working closely with the International Sales Manager. As you demonstrate success, you will take on more responsibility and manage larger territories, with corresponding salary growth tied to performance.
General Sales Management & Administration (10%)
- CRM Management: Efficiently manage and track sales activities, screening bookings, and client interactions in our CRM system. Keep data accurate and up to date, ensuring contracts, invoices, and relevant materials are processed and logged.
- Tech Deliveries: Oversee the timely delivery of DCPs and additional formats to venues, ensuring technical specifications and deadlines are met.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from initial inquiry to final screening. Respond promptly to emails and calls, resolving any issues efficiently.
- Reporting: Provide weekly updates on film sales, targets, and KPIs, and deliver strategic recommendations to improve performance. Ensure transparency with progress and performance metrics.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing progress reports and updates on upcoming screenings. Establish strong, ongoing relationships to foster repeat business.
- Pitch Writing: Create compelling, persuasive pitch documents tailored to specific prospects and their needs. Use your pitch to highlight the unique value proposition of Together Films’ library.
- Email Outreach: Execute large-scale email outreach campaigns through the CRM, along with tailored one-to-one outreach to engage specific leads. Write persuasive copy that grabs attention and drives conversions.
- Project Management & Time Tracking: Ensure all sales activities are listed and tracked within ClickUp. Maintain visibility on progress, manage your time effectively, and track progress against your goals.
Person specifications
- Proven Sales Experience: You have a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally in a film, media, or non-theatrical distribution environment. You know how to generate leads, close deals, and build long-term partnerships.
- KPI-Driven Mindset: You are results-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are comfortable working towards ambitious sales targets and motivated by performance-based rewards.
- Relationship Building: You excel at networking and relationship management. You can nurture new and existing client relationships to maximize sales potential and create new opportunities.
- Strong Negotiation Skills: You can negotiate and close sales effectively, securing favorable terms for both clients and the company.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You are a persuasive communicator, both in writing and in person. You know how to tailor your pitch to different audiences and how to use your communication to drive sales.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable working with CRM platforms, tracking systems, and other tools to streamline the sales process and keep everything organised.
- Passion for Social Impact: You are passionate about using film as a tool for positive change. You understand how media can influence public awareness and action on issues like human rights, the environment, and social justice.
- Self-Starter & Innovator: You take initiative and bring fresh ideas to the table to help drive growth. You can think creatively about how to approach potential clients and market films effectively.
