Aperture: Asia & Pacific Film Festival

Aperture is a new UK-wide film festival dedicated to screening some of the boldest, most daring, challenging, and striking films from the Asian and Pacific regions. The festival focuses particularly on underrepresented cinemas, from Azerbaijan to Vanuatu and everything in between.

Focuses for this first edition of the festival include the strand “Women in the Frame”, plus focuses on Central Asia, Southeast Asia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Aperture launches in London with the first of a two-part programme, taking place 29 June-8 July at Close-Up, The Lexi Cinema, The Cinema Museum and The Horse Hospital, before touring various cities across the UK. The second part of the programme comes to London screens mid-September.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with front of house duties and marketing activities in the lead up to and during both parts 1 and 2 of the festival in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in a new dynamic festival and the only UK festival solely dedicated to the whole of the Asian region and the Pacific.
