Climate Crisis film Festival is seeking volunteers passionate about film and the environment for its 2021 edition.

The festival will be taking place both digitally worldwide and in-person in Glasgow, on dates coinciding with the UN climate conference, COP26 (November 1 – 12, in Glasgow).

About the CCFF

The Climate Crisis Film Festival is the UK’s first climate action film festival, returning for its 3rd edition with an ambitious 6-month program building bridges between Glasgow and the frontlines of climate change. The CCFF program celebrates authentic perspectives from underrepresented voices, with the first ever 100% BIPOC climate film program and Award.

How we work

The CCFF is a project powered by young remote workers (even before the pandemic) with a flexible and independent working spirit. Powerful digital tools combined with excellent communication flows allow us to work with efficiency and purpose. We’re all motivated by a passion for social justice and the environment, and the drive to make a positive impact through art and film.

Open Positions

We have 7 open positions, in the following areas:

  • festival & event
  • climate action
  • content creation
  • design
  • video editing
  • social media

The positions start on Sep 13 and end on Nov 17, 2021, but we can be be flexible around your availability. The busiest month will be October and the time commitment will be between 2 -10 hours per week depending on the role.

Depending on your particular set of skills and interests, one or more of the roles may be combined, so that we can offer you the best learning experience.

Volunteer Benefits

Criteria
  • With the exception of the Glasgow-based Festival Assistant (which requires the application to be physically in Glasgow), all the other positions are fully remote and location-independent. You can be based anywhere in the world. The more international we all are, the better! We strongly encourage applicants from underrepresented groups and Global South countries.
  • No formal training or education required. We are looking for driven people with amazing skills and personalities — if you’re self-taught, we’ll be even more impressed!
  • We welcome applications from 16+ year-olds and we prioritise giving learning opportunities to under 35-year-olds.
  • Fluent English and great communication skills are a requirement for every role.
  • This is a voluntary role, yet we expect any applicants to take this role 100% seriously. Please apply only if you’re entirely sure you can be committed and dependable in this role, are available to complete the whole experience, and have time to dedicate to this position. Early termination, incomplete tasks, delays, or no-shows are unacceptable behaviour.

  • Onboarding for the successful candidates will be held on Monday, September 13th
