Sheffield Doc/Fest is seeking an Exchange Programmer to lead on the curation and delivery of its Doc/Fest Film and Arts Programme.
Sheffield Doc/Fest’s Exchange programme is a year-long, free and open to all project, which aims to experiment and collectively shape the future of storytelling through engagement with the Doc/Fest Film and Arts Programme, and by bringing together audiences with researchers, writers, artists and activists.
Throughout 2021, the Exchange programme will continue to explore themes of climate justice and public health, globally. The role of the Exchange Programmer is to lead on the curation and delivery of the project, working as part of the Doc/Fest Community Engagement team, and collaboratively with the film programming and arts programming teams.
The appointed contractor will have a love for how non-fiction film and arts can connect with communities, and a deep and current understanding of research in the research fields of health, environment, and will bring connections with researchers in this area.
You will bring to the project a creative approach to developing and delivering participatory and engagement activity responding to and contextualising the Doc/Fest programme, collaboratively with specialists across the arts, sciences and humanities.
This is a part-time role, tenure: February – July.
