Events Coordinator

Salary: £24,996 - £28,727 per annum
The BFI is seeking an Events Coordinator to join the Cinema & Events team on a fixed term basis until September 2022.
The Events Coordinator will work on production and event coordination for the BFI’s year-round public programme, external clients hiring BFI venues, the online BFI at Home virtual event programme and, from time-to-time, BFI events at external venues.
Key Responsibilities
- To support Head of Business Development and Production, Lead Events Producer and Events Producers by coordinating the delivery of events across the department’s cultural, digital and corporate hire events portfolio at BFI Southbank, BFI Stephen Street and online.
- Coordinate technical aspects for events, liaising closely with both in-house and external technical teams.
- Coordinate, and maintain good communication with all event stakeholders – internal and external including clients, partners, guests, front-of-house, programming, catering and technical teams.
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ previous experience working in an events-based environment in the arts and heritage sector or similar.
- Experience of team working in a high-pressure environment.
- Interest/curiosity in the ever-changing event landscape and the mixed programme of in-person and digital events.
- A proactive and customer focused approach delivered within a best practice framework.
