MUBI is a rapidly growing global streaming service curating the world’s best cinema. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in London. Working closely with our content team, you would be central to contributing to the voice of MUBI’s editorial.
The Editorial Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Writing concise, lively, and well-researched curatorial introductions that accompany daily programming across international territories
- Conceiving, researching, and writing curatorial texts that accompany series of films, ranging from double features and thematic programmes to expansive retrospectives
- Researching and editing synopsis descriptions for films in the programme
- Working closely with the Editorial Manager to maximise the team’s editorial output and hit deadlines
The ideal candidate
The Editorial Coordinator needs to be passionate about cinema, as well as a native English-speaker and a fluid and engaging writer with at least three years’ experience writing about film and film-related subjects. A wide-ranging knowledge of film culture – contemporary and historical – and strong research skills are required. Familiarity with the digital film landscape is a plus. Good organisation and communication skills are essential in order to coordinate between two offices and diverse team members. Fluency in additional languages is a plus. This position will be located in London.
