Customer Services Assistants (Bar/Café)

Salary: £9.18 (aged under 23) or £9.50 (aged 23 and over) per hour

Showroom is looking for two full-time Customer Services Assistants (CSA) to work in their bar and conferencing areas.

About Showroom

Showroom Workstation is Sheffield’s only media arts complex operating a popular independent café/bar, conference and events facility, four-screen cinema, and creative industries managed workspace.

About the role

We are looking for two full-time Customer Services Assistants (CSA) to work in our bar and conferencing areas.  As a CSA, you will be a first point of contact for our customers, and we are looking for staff who will give our guests a warm friendly welcome, and be responsive to their needs, to ensure every visit to our venue is memorable.

The responsibilities of the role will include the selling and serving of food and drink (hot and cold, including alcohol) in the bar and café, and when necessary, helping with the running of our conference and events activities.

Experience would be welcomed but is not essential – if you are friendly, flexible, hard-working and have a helpful can-do attitude we’d love you to apply.

Hours: 37-hour contract (2 positions)

Please note hours are usually worked over 5 days, Monday-Sunday.  All postholders worked shifts will include weekends and evenings on a fair basis.

Hourly paid: from 1st April 2022 the statutory rate of pay will be £9.18 (NMW under 23) or £9.50 NLW 23 and over), as applicable.

Please note that to cover the full range of responsibilities in the role, the sale of alcohol will be involved, so applicants would need to be aged 18 and over.
