Coordinator - Young Audiences Content Fund

BFI

Leeds

Salary: £23,433 - £27,414 per annum

The BFI is seeking a Coordinator to join the Young Audiences Content Fund to support its Head of Fund and Fund Executives of the new Young Audiences Content Fund which aims to generate original creative content to air on UK Public Service Broadcaster channels and platforms.

For background, this is a new team set up as the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has allocated £57m over three years to the BFI for the Young Audiences Content Fund to address a decline in commissioning content for children and young audiences. It will be a major new opportunity for creative UK content makers and commissioners to partner on the production and development of projects that embrace the values of public service broadcast content.

The role will provide practical and administrative support for the Head of Young Audiences Content Fund and Fund Executives as well as coordinating the Advisory and Stakeholder Groups. The Young Audiences Content Fund Coordinator will liaise with fund applicants and awardees ensuring engagement with the Fund Executives where necessary.

The ideal candidate will combine strong proven administrative skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel, and will be able to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels to explain processes clearly and with diplomacy. The ability to think creatively to solve problems and improve systems will also be required.

Based in Leeds, with occasional visits to London, you will enjoy benefits such as our pension scheme, excellent family support including flexible working, 28-33 days annual leave, tickets to BFI festivals and events plus many others.

This is a fixed term position for 24 months with the potential to extend for a further 12 months.
