Chiswick Cinema is looking for a Chef de Partie to join their team.

Employment type: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week – over seven days
Reporting to: Head Chef

About the Employer

Bringing the big screen experience to Chiswick for the first time since 1934, Trafalgar Cinemas are thrilled to present The Chiswick Cinema. Opened in June 2021, the brand-new, luxury venue has five screens and a private Members’ bar and terrace, along with a café and restaurant. A 16-seat screening room with private dining room attached is a unique private hire venue.

The cinema is an inviting place to meet friends and see films and the Members’ Club, with its unique benefits and access to areas, is an important business driver. Programming includes a mix of mainstream and arthouse current releases, documentaries, family screenings and an array of event cinema.

The Chiswick Cinema is part of Trafalgar Entertainment Group (TE), a live entertainment business founded by Sir Howard Panter and Dame Rosemary Squire, and home to Trafalgar Studios, Trafalgar Theatre Productions, Trafalgar Releasing, Stagecoach Performing Arts, London Theatre Direct and Jonathan Church Theatre Productions.

The Role

The Chef de partie will be responsible for contributing a smooth  kitchen operation. This is a hands-on role overseeing fulfilment of daily service and all preparation in the run up to it.  maintain food hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring you a have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Ensuring ongoing team communications.
  • To assist in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
  • To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customer
  • Helping the head chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Monitoring portion and waste control.
Essential Skills
  • Good communicator and ability to work as a team
  • Proactive and ‘hands on’ approach
  • An appreciation and understanding of fresh food and quality ingredients
  • Food Safety Level 2 desired
  • Punctual, positive and reliable
