International Documentary Festival Sheffield (Doc/Fest) is inviting applications for the role of Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Sheffield Doc/Fest is an internationally renowned charitable organisation, presenting one of the world’s leading documentary film festivals and marketplaces, celebrating, sharing, and debating non-fiction arts.

Now in our 27th year, we welcome approximately 3500 industry delegates and 28,000 public admissions from 60 countries around the world.

Our current Chair – Alex Graham – is stepping down after nine years so we are seeking someone who will be passionate about the direction of the organisation.

The Chair will lead the Trustees in responsibilities around maintaining fiscal probity, overseeing governance, and work alongside the executive team to manage stakeholders. The Chair is a public advocate for the festival nationally and internationally and will be on hand to help problem solve where necessary. They will also lead the board to help deliver a strategic vision for the festival.

The role is voluntary, though travel / expenses will be covered.
