Belfast Film Festival is looking for a Development Manager to be responsible for identifying new revenue opportunities, particularly from the private sector, improving profitability and helping the business grow.
Role details
- Part-time, 16 to 20 hours p/week
- Fixed-term contract, 1 year
- Salary: NJC SO2 level £32,909 – £34,723 per annum pro rata. BFF will consider PAYE or freelance arrangement.

Role responsibilities
The role involves careful strategic planning and positioning within the arts and cultural sector in Northern Ireland, enhancing the operation and reputation of our festivals, building new partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with existing stakeholders.
Person specifications
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years working experience as a Business Development Manager, Fundraiser or relevant similar role, where emphasis has been on revenue generation.
- Applicants must be able to show evidence of a proven track record of attracting new revenue streams from the private sector.
- Applicants must be able to show evidence of business development projects / growing a company and its clients and market expansion.
- Proficiency in MS Office / including Excel, Word and other IT systems.
- A high level of verbal / written communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to initiate and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent business management, time management and planning skills.
Desirable
- A strong client base of connections across the private and commercial sectors in Northern Ireland.
- Knowledge and experience of the arts and cultural sector in Northern Ireland.
- A strong working knowledge of the public sector in Northern Ireland.
- A strong interest in film, both local and international.
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field.
