Board Members and Chair

Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority

Remote

Salary: Voluntary

The Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority, CIISA, is looking to appoint the Chair and first four members of their new Finance Board.

The Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority, CIISA, is a new body being established to uphold and improve standards of behaviour across the creative industries, including preventing and tackling all forms of bullying and harassment of a discriminatory nature.

To support CIISA’s launch later in 2024 we are now looking to appoint the Chair and first four members of the new Finance Board.

The Finance Board is being established as a separate company responsible for overseeing CIISA’s funding – collecting the voluntary financial contributions from the creative industries, distributing it to CIISA and ensuring that CIISA delivers value for money. The Finance Board will be critical for ensuring that CIISA secures the finding it needs whilst remaining independent of its funders and able to investigate without fear or favour.

We are seeking strategic leaders currently working across the UK in the Film & TV, Theatre or Music industry with the credibility and rigour to oversee industry funds, and the energy and commitment to help realise our vision to join the Finance Board.

Full information on the roles including the skills and experience we are seeking can be found via the links below, along with FAQs and the diversity monitoring form.

Applications

Applicants should be sent to boardrecruitment@ciisa.org.uk by midday on Friday 15 March.

Other roles at CIISA

We will shortly open recruitment for the Chair and first non-executive members of CIISA’s Board. CIISA’s Board will be its governing body and will work with CIISA’s Executive Team to bring CIISA’s plans to fruition, set its strategic direction and provide oversight of delivery.

We will be inviting applications from individuals with either senior leadership experience in the UK regulatory sector or who have senior leadership experience of one of CIISA’s initial creative industries (Film & TV, Music and/or Theatre) but who are not engaged or employed within it (currently or in the recent past) to protect CIISA’s independence.

These roles will be remunerated with an anticipated time commitment of up to 2 days per week (Chair) and up to 1 day per week (Non-Executive Board Members) during the first year, reducing thereafter.

Further information on these roles will be available soon.

The closing date for this position is 15/03/2024 at 12:00
