The BFI is looking for an experienced coordinator who will work closely with the Head of Online Programme to deliver a compelling online programme of films across the interconnected BFI Player services.
Launched in 2013, BFI Player has grown to become an integral part of BFI’s Public Programme, reaching wide audiences throughout the UK via its three service pillars – Rentals, Subscription and Free. Internationally, our related services also bring the best of British cinema to overseas audiences. Since 2023, BFI Player has also undertaken ambitious growth plans as part of a multi-year Investment and Finance Plan.

Role responsibilities
- To actively assist in devising, creating and curating BFI Player collections that adhere to BFI’s programming, income and audiences objectives, and ensuring that published collections remain refreshed and relevant.
- To collate and compile metadata, marketing, Access and other additional materials to ready BFI Player film pages for publication
- Work closely with Digital Marketing colleagues to produce editorial briefs and marketing materials for BFI Player promotional campaigns, including email, social and print marketing
- To be aware of and act in accordance with the BFI’s environmental sustainability plans and approach at all times
Person specifications
- Experience in a similar role working with Video on Demand (VOD) platforms and moving image collections.
- Comprehensive knowledge of British and international historical and contemporary cinema.
- Demonstrable research skills
- The aptitude to carry out all activities supporting and championing our culture drivers
