The Chiswick Cinema is seeking a new Assistant Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, to support the General Manager and to provide excellent customer service.

Role responsibilities:
Operational Efficiency & Staff Management
- Oversee daily operations of the cinema, ensuring that all film screenings, events, and services run on time and meet high operational standards.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed to mitigate incidents.
- Maintain the highest operational standards throughout the cinema.
- Ensure all business compliance requirements are met.
- Be actively present on shifts, providing leadership, coaching, and support to the team.
- Collaborate with senior management to meet business targets.
- Handle opening and closing duties as needed.
- Take a proactive role in ensuring that the cinema adheres to all health, safety, and fire regulations, including risk assessments, emergency procedures, and regular safety audits.
- Ensure all staff are trained in health and safety practices, including fire evacuation drills and first aid protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections to guarantee all equipment, including projection and kitchen facilities, meets safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and compliance checks, reporting any breaches to the General Manager.
- Assist in recruitment and lead the induction of new staff members.
- Effectively allocate resources to maintain high operational standards.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Foster a customer-centric environment, coaching and developing the team to enhance the customer experience.
- Monitor and relay customer feedback to the management team.
- Promote awareness of films, food, and beverage offerings.
- Lead the team to deliver exceptional service across all areas of the cinema.
Financial Management:
- Maximise revenue opportunities through effective management of food, beverage, and membership sales.
- Minimise financial risk by managing stock counts, wastage, and damages, ensuring proper stock rotation on a first-in, first-out basis.
Role requirements:
- At least three years of management experience, ideally in a cinema setting.
- A proactive, creative, and results-driven approach to work.
- Strong communicator, able to engage with all levels of the team and external contacts.
- A genuine passion for film and an outgoing, engaging personality.
