The Festival of Commonwealth Film are looking for dedicated volunteers to help at the inaugural festival on April 14th and 15th at the British Museum in London.

The festival will be showing seven documentary and fiction feature films with a human rights focus from the regions of the commonwealth, supported by Commonwealth Writers – the cultural enterprise of the Commonwealth Foundation, and the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative.

The team will consist of around 20 volunteers who will share the following roles each day over the course of the weekend:

  • checking tickets
  • ushering
  • looking after filmmakers and VIPs
  • helping with set up and clearing at the end of each day
  • taking care of guests

In exchange for your help you’ll get free tickets to films when you’re not working, volunteer discounts on tickets for friends and family, travel expenses, lunch and snacks throughout the day. You will also be helping to deliver the first ever film festival in the world dedicated entirely to the cinema of the 53 Commonwealth countries.
