About The Smalls Film Festival
The Smalls Film Festival started as a one day showcase back in 2006. The Smalls Co Founder Anna Granger came up with the concept to showcase small films on small screens (thus the name, The Smalls) back when the first video iPod had launched. Being a revolutionary concept for the time the event was well received and subsequently commissioned by Apple to do the same showcase in their flagship store on Regent Street. From this event The Festival has been celebrated every year partnering with the likes of MTV and Comedy Central who were interested early on in connecting with grass roots content creators.
Today the festival is celebrated during the first week of September and is held over 5 days. The event is made up of master classes, panel discussions and screenings all used to champion the latest in short filmmaking and to celebrate a years worth of content from our community.
