Screening & discussion

Britain on Film is a major project running from summer 2015-17 that celebrates and explores the stories of the people and places of Britain, with thousands of newly digitised films from the BFI National Archive and the UK’s other national and regional film archives.

Audiences at home will be able to select films to watch from an interactive map of the UK while cinema audiences will get to enjoy high profile screenings and special events about their local area organised by the Film Audience Network.

This is an opportunity to discuss the project with curators and programmers from the BFI National Archive, the regional film archives and FAN and find out how your cinema can participate in the project. And also to get a sneak preview of some of the newly digitised films.

We will be delighted to welcome Patrick Russell, the Senior Curator Non-Fiction at the BFI National Archive, who will introduce the screening.
