Previously a secondary school, Chapter was founded by artists Christine Kinsey and Bryan Jones with journalist Mike Flood over 40 years ago in 1971, one of the UK’s first arts centres.
Now an ambitious, multi-art form venue, it presents, produces and promotes international art, live performance and film alongside a dynamic social space and acts as a cultural and creative community hub.
Following a major 2009 refurbishment including the addition of a second cinema screen, the number of visitors has doubled to over 800,000 people every year making Chapter the most popular attraction in Cardiff.
