Simon Ward (Head of Programming and Development)
Simon began work as the administrator of the London Film Festival and London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. He was also the Industry Events Officer for the LFF, organising masterclasses with such luminaries as Paul Schrader and Jerry Goldsmith. He then took up the position of Deputy Director of Cinema at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, where he spent three years programming new international cinema, much of which was not in UK distribution. Subsequently, Simon produced documentaries on various filmmakers, from François Ozon to Wong Kar-Wai. Most recently, Simon co-ordinated the LFF on Tour as well as programming the Tour titles, showcasing a selection of titles from the London Film Festival around the country.
