Martin Costelloe (General Manager, Broadway Theatre)
Dazzled by the bright lights of show-biz from an early age, as soon as Martin was old enough to leave home (27) he set off to capture Broadway. Unfortunately, this turned out to be Catford rather than New York! As General manager, Martin is responsible for programming its two venues (800 and 100 seats) with a diverse mix of pantomime, jamaican comedies, star names and community based productions, as well as acting as head of psychiatry to its complex staff. Martin introduced films into the programme in 2004 when the ABC Cinema opposite was sold to an evangelical cult, making Lewisham one of the only boroughs in London without a cinema.
