Liz Leyshon (Theatre Manager, Strode Theatre)
Liz Leyshon has been at the Strode Theatre for more than 20 years – and manager for 10 years. Following five years in London working in a secretarial capacity for a press agency and for writer Rebecca West, Liz returned to her birthplace and began work at Strode – the most interesting job in the area. Since then, she has moved through a number of different positions, including admin and publicity, taking over the manager's position by default when others were sick. Working on the film programme has always been her favourite part of the job, which offers an unusually varied mix of theatre, film, education and visual art.
