Synopsis

Based on actual events, this is the story of brutal killer and violent prisoner Juan José Garfia (San Juan). Sentenced to 100 years for murdering three people, he instigates inmate upheaval until the jailers invent a new and improved solitary confinement for the worst offenders. It's in this hell that 30-something prison nurse Marimar (Goya-nominated Suárez) finds him and somehow they begin a relationship that will reform him. As their feelings for each other grow, she campaigns for prison reform and even introduces him to her kids.
