An Introduction to Film Festival & Event PR

Do you struggle to secure press coverage for screenings and events at your venue? Finding it tough to get national media interest in your festival with so many other festivals out there?

The Independent Cinema Office presents an essential one-day training course for anyone who is aiming to maximise media coverage for film-related events or festivals and is working with limited time, money and resources: including independent exhibitors, arts centre staff, established and emerging festivals, event organisers, venue PR and marketing staff, arts development officers, and film distributors.

Whether you have previous experience dealing with the press or not, the course will teach you how to generate and handle PR and will enable you to maximise your national and regional media coverage. You will learn foolproof strategies first-hand from a recognised expert in the field of festival and event PR and get the chance to meet and quiz key national journalists - all for less than the cost of an ad in your local paper!
