Volunteers

Saffron Screen has had tremendous support from local volunteers. Individuals have offered their services to set up and maintain the website, develop an online booking system, manage the accounts, write programme notes, write and edit the bi-monthly programme, and write press releases as well as helping with front of house service. However, since its first year, the cinema has moved from a reliance wholly on volunteers to carry out the day-to-day running of the cinema, to a more balanced approach. Volunteers are still vital to the success of the organisation but a paid cinema manager now ensures the weekly operation of the cinema with a technical manager running the projection side.
