Rapper Jonzi D sets out on a quest, leaving his birthplace of London for Grenada, Jamaica, America and Africa. Jonzi plays all of the characters he encounters on this imaginary journey, including a white racist. He makes use of extreme physicality to embody the spirit of each mindset he must confront.
"All over the globe, communities have migrated for various reasons: employment, political asylum, the slave trade, etc and have to settle within environments not necessarily recognised as 'home'.
"Within the sprawling metropolitan centres of the UK, communities from various racial, social and geographical backgrounds co-exist. Interaction and integration have produced a hybrid culture of global complexity, yet characteristically 'English'.
In the light of highly publicised debates centred around racist incidents,
second and third-generation immigrant youth, products of a mutli-cultured
England, ask the question: is this my home?"
