BFFS Announces Date for National Conference

The British Federation of Film Societies (BFFS) has announced its 2007 National Conference for Film Societies and Community Cinemas as 1 December 2007.

The event will be held at the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield and will include:

  • facilitated networking
  • training and information sessions
  • screenings of hard-to-access titles that have had limited exposure in the UK — available to community groups from 2008

With speakers comprising industry experts and film society/community cinema specialists, this presents an ideal opportunity for volunteers and those working in the not-for-profit sector to interact with colleagues and quiz experts at an informative, comfortable and enjoyable event.

Sessions include Growing Your Audience: how to attract people and keep them coming! The Digital Future: see projection equipment in action. Your Union, Your Film: Student Film Societies take centre stage.

BFFS Annual General Meeting: the future of support for the community cinema movement. Plus the BFFS Annual Dinner at Showroom Restaurant: with prominent after dinner speaker.
