Park Circus is seeking a Technical Operations & Sales Admin Assistant. This role offers a rarely available position in Scotland that provides an opportunity to work within the international film industry, gaining invaluable experience in film distribution.

The role will require a passionate, organised and highly motivated individual who is equipped to work in a high-volume fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in Film Distribution or in another industry that had responsibilities in logistics and operational tasks but we are also open to those with transferable skills for this entry-level position in the industry.

The role will involve working closely with the French Office Sales team, assisting primarily with the delivery of materials (DCPs and 35mm prints) to independent cinemas, circuits, cinematheques and film festivals in France and supporting with any related technical operations and sales tasks. It is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the biggest cinemas in the world and to promote some of the greatest films in history, with an opportunity to contribute to a growing team in a new position. The role will primarily involve working with clients in France and all communication with clients would be in French.

Role responsibilities
  • Coordinating Digital Cinema Package (“DCP”) and 35mm/70mm film print transport for Theatrical, Non-Theatrical and Festival Exhibitor bookings in France;
  • Ordering KDMs (digital security keys) for Digital Cinema screening customers;
  • Responding to French Exhibitor customer queries by email and phone, and supporting exhibitors by solving technical & logistics issues;
  • Maintaining accurate asset management records;
  • Liaising with French Exhibitors to organise asset crossovers between sites and to return assets after screenings;
  • Using the Park Circus Rights Management system (Arena) to accurately input, update and manage data from end to end of the sales process (contacts, bookings, technical materials, invoicing);
  • Wider support of the international sales team with a range of admin tasks as required
Person specifications

Essential

  • Applicants must possess native-level fluency in French. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered;
  • Have clear, transferable skills and experience that relate to the role involving logistics, operational and admin tasks;
  • Show high level of attention to detail and good organisational skills;
  • Work well on their own, under pressure and in a small team within a fast-paced work environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, in both English and French, with the ability to form strong relationships internally and externally by email and telephone;
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to learn new skills quickly, as well as follow clear instruction;
  • Ability to manage numerous priorities across different time zones;
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems at an early stage

Desirable

  • Experience working in the film or media industry, particularly in a technical, operations or logistics role;
  • Show a good sense of initiative and ambition to develop in the role;
  • A passion for film and the big screen!
