Industry Office Coordinator
The BFI 54th London Film Festival
Fixed Term Contract until 12 November 2010. Salary £21,959 to £25,689 pro rata
The BFI 54th London Film Festival is seeking to fill the following position in its Industry department.
The focus of our festivals team is the delivery of both our festivals to the highest possible standard, for the benefit of filmmakers, audiences and film culture in general. The successful candidate will be required to look after the accreditation and ticketing needs of some 1100 industry professionals, and oversee the integration of the festival's new badge-making and data collection system. The Industry Office Coordinator will also be involved in the management of the festival delegate centre and industry events.
You will have Interest in international film culture and detailed knowledge of the film industry. Applicants should have a high calibre of IT and organisational skills and at least two years experience of film festival operations.

The role will include liaising with film distributors and the programming operations manager; assisting with communications and reports; working closely with head of marketing, helping with logistics and organisation of live events and experimental media.

The Short Course Administrator will be responsible for the smooth running of all administrative aspects of the Skillset Academi+. The postholder will need a working knowledge of the Creative Industries and training sector in Wales and an awareness of the Higher Education sector in Wales would be advantageous, as would the ability to speak Welsh. Fantastic written and oral communication and research skills are required as well as the ability to problem solve and a commitment to a career in the creative industries in Wales. The Development department has responsibility for raising funds for a wide range of BFI activities through corporate sponsorship, individuals, trusts, foundations and statutory grants.
The BFI is now seeking an exceptional, self-motivated and creative individual to join our development team as Sponsorship Assistant. Working primarily on the London Film Festival and London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival the post also encompasses projects across the BFI.
The desired candidate will have experience in fundraising or events; a track record of account management and demonstrable relationship building skills. Applicants will be able to think creatively in identifying potential sponsorship opportunities and matching these with new partners and prospects.

Guest & Hospitality Coordinator Internship
Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival
To manage the guest service and coordinate hospitality for the Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival 15-19 September 2010. The role includes booking travel and accommodation, itineraries, event and delegate hospitality.
This is a crucial role within the festival team demanding excellent communication and organisational skills with great opportunities to meet international artists and filmmakers and networking possibilities.
The role requires:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel
- Some office based experience
Tasks will include:
- Booking travel and accommodation for Festival guests, delegates and staff
- Drafting and distributing itineraries for artists, filmmakers and speakers
- Overseeing guest and delegate hospitality and accreditation
- Liaising with travel companies, accommodation, cafes, bars, restaurants and caterers
- Assisting with the arranging of receptions, meetings, parties and special events
- Ensuring guests and delegates enjoy the duration of their stay at the festival
You will need to be available from the 23rd August 2010 for one day per week with full availability from 13 - 19 September 2010. This is an unpaid position, however, reasonable expenses will be paid such as travel and accommodation during the festival.

We are looking for a Marketing Advisor (Digital) to work in our Marketing team. Working closely with the Marketing team and in liaison with the Digital team, you will devise, coordinate and implement digital marketing plans for the BFI.
The role will be responsible for leading on the marketing of BFI through digital channels, analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing activity whilst reviewing and introducing innovative marketing solutions.
You will need a minimum of three years' experience in a digital marketing role. The post holder will have extensive knowledge and experience of all key aspects of digital marketing including e-marketing and copywriting.
