This candy coloured nightmare astounded audiences upon its release where it played alongside David Lynch's Erasurehead on the midnight movie circuit . Stunning cel animation evokes the inner world of the films blank faced protagonist in a moving meditation on art and reproduction. The film climaxes with a stunning set piece which occurs before a claymation audience who gape as the artist unleashes rare wonders into the auditorium.

About the artist

Suzan Pitt's work has pushed the boundaries of the animation and film form, thriving in both the art world and cinema since the 1970s. She has had major exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York and the Stedlijk Museum in Amsterdam and has designed operas and created large multi-media shows at the Venice Biennale and Harvard University . A retrospective of her animated films was presented at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2006 and her films have been presented at the over 100 venues around the world. Suzan Pitt currently teaches experimental animation at California Institute of the Arts.
