Running time 99 mins

Paul Hogan and Michael Caton star in this warm small-town comedy of manners. Cinema owner Vince (Hogan) has a huge tax demand following his divorce, but plans to take advantage of recent changes to the tax system that favour same-sex couples. He persuades his best mate, mechanic Ralph (Caton), to pretend that they are an item. Schooled in 'gay-ness' by Eric the local hairdresser (Glynn Nicholas), the 'strange bedfellows' undertake an enlightening research trip to Sydney, taking in the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. The film features Pete Postlethwaite as the taxman the pair attempt to dupe and is set in the picturesque Northern Victoria town of Yackandandah.
